Thermal breaks, double glazing, coastal corrosion and why the frame matters as much as the glass.
Frames
Thermally broken aluminium with marine-grade finishing is standard near the Limassol coast. An untreated frame will show salt damage within a few seasons regardless of the glass behind it.
Glass
Double glazing with a low-emissivity coating and, on exposed elevations, solar control. Specified correctly it removes a substantial share of the cooling load before the air conditioning is sized.
