Schools in Limassol: public, private and international
How the school system works, what international families choose, and where the schools are.
The three tracks
Public schools teach in Greek and are free. Private Greek-language schools offer smaller classes. International schools teach in English and follow British or IB curricula, and they cluster in the eastern half of the city.
Choosing an area around a school
Most relocating families pick the school first and the neighbourhood second. The eastern suburbs and hill villages exist commercially because of that sequence.
