Material sourcing for Limassol construction
What is made locally, what is imported, and how lead times shape the build programme.
Local and imported
Concrete, aggregate, blockwork and much of the joinery are local. Lifts, sanitaryware, specialist glazing and mechanical plant are imported, mostly from Italy, Germany, Greece and Spain.
Island logistics
Everything imported arrives by sea. A two-week shipping slip becomes a two-week site slip unless it was ordered with float — which is why procurement, not labour, usually determines whether a Cyprus building lands on its date.
