The Old Port and Limassol Castle
The medieval core of the city, restored into its most walkable quarter.
History in one square
Limassol Castle, where Richard the Lionheart is said to have married Berengaria in 1191, anchors the old quarter. The Medieval Museum inside holds Byzantine and Lusignan material found across the district.
Around it
The restored old port, the covered market and the carob mill complex sit within a few minutes' walk, along with most of the city's independent kitchens.
